The 1232 defeat of Mongol commander Sartaq is often centered on Kim Yun-hu. A district account must also examine the people of Cheoin bugok and the community defending the fort under Goryeo’s status system. Later festivals, museum interpretation and restored paths are not direct records of every defender or battle position.
