Yangji Hyanggyo combined Confucian teaching with rites for Confucius and scholars in the former county. Its spatial hierarchy reflects institutional roles but the surviving complex is not wholly an untouched founding form. Education was not universally accessible; repair phases, present programs and craftsmen’s marks require separate dates. Use dated official evidence and public routes, respect residents and workers, and keep original remains, restoration, interpretation and operation distinct.
