Gyeongwon Line is both commuter rail and divided railway

The Gyeongwon Line once linked Seoul and Wonsan before division severed it. In Dongducheon it supported military movement, markets and commuting and later became metropolitan rail; historic line, current Line 1 and changing northern services are not identical.
