1. Eungbong Station — Your starting point, right by the Han River.
2. The octagonal pavilion atop Mt. Eungbong — Take in both the falcon-hunting history and the river view.
3. Dokseodang Park — A park built where a Joseon-era study hall once stood, and where a shantytown was later demolished.
4. The Geumho-dong redevelopment complexes — Trace the boundary between the old shantytown and today's apartments.
5. The Oksu-dong river-view complexes — Large new developments built since the 2010s.
6. The Oksu-dong riverside walking path — Finish by retracing the "mountain-backed, river-facing" landscape from the water's edge.
Backup routes for different situations
If it's raining heavily
Start near Eungbong Station → Shorten your time at Dokseodang Park to focus on indoor signage and information → Skip the summit section of Mt. Eungbong → Walk the riverside path briefly, with an umbrella
If forsythia-festival crowds are heavy
If the area around the summit pavilion is congested during festival season, shift your visit to early morning or a weekday morning, or rebuild your route around Dokseodang Park and the riverside instead.
If walking is difficult, or accessibility is a concern
Skip the sloped summit section of Mt. Eungbong and limit your route to the flatter sections at Dokseodang Park and the Oksu-dong riverside.
