Surisan forms Gunpo’s western edge and continues toward Anyang and Ansan through several peaks. It became a provincial park in 2009, while trails, forest recreation and restricted or protected spaces have different rules. Official pages present several possible name origins, so eagle-shaped rock, Surisa temple and royal-retreat accounts remain traditions rather than one settled fact. Use dated official records and public routes, respect residents and workers, and keep legends, plans and completed facilities clearly separated.
Surisan is both a provincial park and an everyday mountain · 🌊
