Evening in Gyonam-dong and Haengchon-dong begins as vehicle lights fill the intersection where Donuimun once stood, Gyeonggyojang's exhibition closes, and cultural sites on the hill shut their doors. It is also the time when patients and caregivers move through the hospital and residents return home. Allow about 100 minutes for the 2.2 kilometers from Donuimun to the gingko tree, treating the route as a reading of terrain between places rather than a sequence of indoor tours.
5:30 p.m.: See the Donuimun marker and historical photographs while daylight remains
Traffic moves quickly through the intersection, so never enter the roadway to inspect a ground marker or take a photograph. Check the final admission time for Donuimun Museum Village and nearby exhibitions. After closing, remain on public exterior lanes.
6:00 p.m.: Give hospital circulation priority at Gyeonggyojang
Because Gyeonggyojang stands within hospital grounds, visiting conditions differ from those at a conventional museum. Keep ambulance access, patient vehicles, and wheelchair routes clear, and do not hold lengthy group briefings in front of the building. After closing, do not use flash photography through the windows.
6:30 p.m.: Remember that Dilkusha and the Hong Nan-pa House are cultural sites inside a residential area
If the buildings have closed, view their exteriors only from public roads outside the boundaries. Do not photograph neighbors' windows or vehicle license plates, and do not block residents on hillside stairs. After rain or snow, take extra care on steep slopes and beside low retaining walls.
7:10 p.m.: Finish at the gingko tree and return by a well-lit main road
Do not cross the protected-tree barrier or attempt the city wall's mountain trail after dark without proper preparation. Descend toward a bright main road in the direction of Sajik-ro or Tongil-ro, then continue toward Dongnimmun or Seodaemun Station. If calling a taxi in the residential area, wait where neither a gate nor a narrow lane is obstructed.
