From Hoegi Station to the King Sejong Memorial Hall: The Complete Half-Day Route

A three-to-four-hour route through a neighborhood where two queens' relocations overlap with the recent opening of a century-old research forest. Be sure to avoid Mondays, when the forest is closed.

The core route

1. Hoegi Station — Start your route with the trace left by the name Hoemyo.

2. Kyung Hee University's main gate and administration building — Walk past the cherry-blossom path and the fountain lawn to take in the academic-district atmosphere.

3. Hongneung Forest (National Institute of Forest Science) — Confirm the former Hongneung site and the Eojeong well while walking through this century-old research forest.

4. The King Sejong Memorial Hall — Cross Hoegi-ro to visit the memorial hall for one of Joseon's most celebrated early kings.

5. The Hoegi-dong university food alley — Finish along the main strip of Byeongwon-gil.
