Backup routes for different situations
If it's raining heavily
Extend your time at Kyung Hee University's administration building and the King Sejong Memorial Hall's indoor exhibits → Walk Hongneung Forest's trails briefly, with an umbrella → Finish at an indoor café in the university district
If Hongneung Forest is closed (Monday)
- Rebuild your route around the King Sejong Memorial Hall and the Kyung Hee University campus, and save Hongneung Forest for a different day
If walking is difficult, or accessibility is a concern
Skip the deeper interior sections of Hongneung Forest, and limit your visit to the Hongneung site and Eojeong well near the entrance.
✅ Final check before you leave
- Hongneung Forest's Monday and holiday closures
- The King Sejong Memorial Hall's opening hours
- Any access restrictions on the Kyung Hee University campus (during events)
- Expected crowd levels during cherry blossom season
- Whether individual restaurants are operating during school breaks
