Evening in Sajik-dong begins as the altar's visitor area closes and park users leave. Students and residents return to lanes in Pilun-dong and Naeja-dong, while commuter traffic and restaurant customers increase around Naesu-dong's large residential and office buildings. After completing indoor visits during daylight, use this 110-minute walk to connect the altar grove, the slope of Inwangsan, and the place-name memories of two royal offices. Do not attempt to look inside closed sites.
5:30 p.m.: Confirm Sajikdan's final entry time and controlled areas first
The open route and closing time may change with season and restoration work. Do not delay staff by repeating photographs at a gate being closed, and never cross barriers around ritual preparation or construction zones. Identify the orientation of the main gate and walls before darkness.
6:00 p.m.: On Sajik-ro, follow pedestrian signals before looking for the best view
Traffic moves quickly around Sajik-ro and the tunnel approach during the evening commute. Do not enter the carriageway or central divider for a frontal photograph of the altar. Use designated crossings and avoid blocking the pavement, which may also be shared by bicycles and personal mobility devices.
6:30 p.m.: View the Hong Geon-ik House and Paiwha School only from outside after closing
If the house has closed, stay on the public lane outside its wall and do not photograph through windows with flash. Around Paiwha, do not photograph students' faces or vehicle plates, and keep the school gate and commuting route clear. Residential doorways are not suitable places for extended group explanations.
7:10 p.m.: Descend from Naeja-dong to Naesu-dong and compare the two office sites
After identifying the Naejasi site, continue south to the Naesusa marker. Do not obstruct entrances or vehicle access when reading a marker in front of a large building. Finish on a well-lit road toward Gyeonghuigung or Sinmun-ro. Walk in single file where restaurant queues, delivery motorcycles, and narrow pavements overlap.
