Start Here: A 180-Minute Introduction

Begin at Sinchon Station on Subway Line 2 and walk roughly 3.5 kilometers through Yonsei-ro, the Ewha shopping street and campus, and the Gyeongui Line’s Sinchon Station. A university business district, hospital, history of women’s education, major contemporary architecture, and an older railway station sit close together. Instead of repeating “street of youth,” observe how students, staff, merchants, patients, and residents use it on different schedules.

0–40 minutes: Read the university district on Yonsei-ro

The Line 2 and Gyeongui Line stations called Sinchon are in different places; establish that first. Along Yonsei-ro, restaurants, academies, telecom shops, and services for hospital visitors overlap. Pedestrian-only and bus operations can change with policy, so check current transport notices.

40–80 minutes: Compare the scale at Yonsei’s gate

Walk to Yonsei University’s entrance, then return toward Ewha. A campus is an education and research site, not a public theme park. Follow access restrictions and do not film students in class. Around Severance Hospital, emergency vehicles and patients always take priority.

80–140 minutes: Slow down on Ewha’s street and at ECC

Compare clothing, beauty, stationery, vacancies, and new businesses before entering the university. Do not flatten the history of Ewha Hakdang and today’s research university into one image. At ECC, view the sunken valley and green roofs while respecting rules for classes and events.

140–180 minutes: Finish with railway time

Move to the old Gyeongui Line station. Unlike the subway station, this site belongs to the history of the Gyeongui railway. Distinguish the historic building from current operations and respect track and platform controls. Leave via Ewha Womans University or Sinchon subway station.
