Deokjeong Station linked the Gyeongwon Line to a growing military city

Deokjeong opened on the Gyeongwon Line in 1911 and later became a metropolitan commuter station. Railway change, military demand, housing and a five-day market jointly shaped the district; they did not occur in one moment or serve only soldiers. The account separates oral tradition, documented history, excavation, reconstruction and current operation. At the site, check dated official notices, respect residents and workers, and record changes instead of generalising one visit to all of Yangju.
