Cheoin Fortress shows resistance through a local community

In 1232 defenders at Cheoin Fortress resisted the second Mongol invasion and Mongol commander Sartaq was killed. Kim Yun-hu is prominent in later memory, but the defense also involved Cheoin bugok residents and others inside the fort. Present earthworks, paths and exhibitions are not an unchanged thirteenth-century battlefield. Use dated official sources and public routes, respect residents and workers, and separate traditions, plans and completed facilities.
