Yi Ik pursued scholarship while living around Cheomseong-ri. The memorial museum interprets writings, family and intellectual networks; it is not his surviving house. “Silhak scholar” is a later category, not a substitute for dating individual texts or discussing land, agriculture, institutions and the economic setting that enabled study.
Use dated official records and current notices. Record the visit time, weather, route and—where relevant—tide. Separate heritage from reconstruction, production from sale, workplace from attraction, announcement from completion, and one observation from a citywide conclusion. Stay on public routes and seek consent before photographing residents or workers.
