Modern central Ansan was shaped by plans for the Banwol industrial base and its support city. Factory dispersal, land development, factory occupancy, housing and the city’s 1986 launch were different stages. Grid roads and green buffers show planning, while workers, migrants, merchants and commuters turned plans into lived neighborhoods.
