A road separates Bongeunsa from COEX, but the temple is not a park isolated from urban life. Services, memorial rites, education and practice continue while office workers and travelers walk through the grounds.
Different visitors share the same paths
Morning and evening worshippers, lunchtime walkers and participants in temple programs arrive for different reasons. Programs, meals and hall access vary by date; check current temple notices instead of relying on an old review.
Visit as a guest
Do not closely photograph people praying. Follow signs about shoes, hats and restricted areas. The temple’s quiet is best respected by joining its rules, not using worship as scenery.
