The Gimpo Plain is not simply a natural field. Low land beside the Han estuary was exposed to floods and salt, and became stable farmland through embankments, reclamation, drainage, irrigation and continuous maintenance. Rice brands likewise depend on seed, cultivation standards, drying, storage and distribution—not soil alone. Metropolitan expansion converted and fragmented fields for housing, roads and logistics. Compare old and current maps, respect farm roads and machinery, and record the season and administrative boundary when citing acreage or yield. A flooded rice paddy is managed agricultural water as well as habitat, so it should not automatically be labelled a natural wetland.
