Jeollyu-ri is a working fishing port on the Han estuary

Jeollyu-ri is a workplace where boats land, nets dry and fish move into sale and transport. Its position reflects the meeting of river flow and tides, but the current estuary has also been changed by embankments and water-control structures. Fishing varies with season, water level, permits and military restrictions; a species recorded in the past is not guaranteed today, and a product sold at the port is not automatically locally caught. Do not block the quay, touch gear or enter controlled riverside areas. Record tide, weather, origin labels and the time of observation, and ask before photographing fishers or boats at close range.
