The Gochang Pansori Museum opened in 2001 to honor Shin Jae-hyo and was registered as a specialized museum in 2005. Gochang County says it displays about 1,480 objects, including Shin’s belongings and materials on local singers and pansori.
Its exhibitions introduce the origins and genealogy of pansori and figures such as Shin Jae-hyo, Jin Chae-seon, and Kim So-hui, showing how the oral art has been documented and transmitted.
