Gokseong acquired Old Gokseong Station and disused railway facilities and developed Train Village and a tourist railway. The steam-style tourist train now follows the Seomjingang about 10 km one way to Gajeong Station.
Development and train introduction occurred over several years, so the text no longer claims everything opened at once in April 2004. Visitors should check current timetables.
