Photos can make Dodeoksan Suspension Bridge look like a survival crossing over a remote gorge. It actually connects two park trails above an artificial waterfall inside an everyday urban forest used by Gwangmyeong, Cheolsan and Haan residents.
Three paths meet in the middle
The city describes a Y-shaped bridge 82 meters long, 1.5 meters wide and 20 meters high. Its central junction gathers traffic from three directions. Do not jump, lean dangerously or block the narrow deck for group photographs.
The waterfall is designed scenery
The waterfall below is artificial and follows seasonal, temperature and weather schedules. No water does not mean a broken attraction. Forest, water feature and new bridge together show how a city constructs a nature retreat.
A short walk from the park entrance and a route linking Gureumsan are different trips. Rain, snow, wind or maintenance can close slippery deck and soil trails. Verify the entrance you will return to, accessibility for mobility aids and sunset time. Parking is limited. Turning back because of height anxiety or conditions is a complete visit. This bridge adds a new walking sensation to an ordinary neighborhood mountain; that modest role is more truthful than an exaggerated adventure claim.
