This Jeongeup heritage site is the house where Donghak Peasant Revolution leader Jeon Bong-jun lived. Korea Heritage Service dates the modest four-bay thatched house to 1878, with a kitchen and three rooms arranged in a row.
It was designated a Historic Site in 1981. Fire and reconstruction claims that may conflate it with a birthplace elsewhere have been removed, leaving the officially documented residence and building details.
