Dorasan Station has shifted between working railway and reunification symbol

Dorasan Station is both a real facility on the restored Gyeongui corridor and an architectural promise of future inter-Korean travel. Test runs, tourist services, limited freight operations and regular passenger trains are different categories and must not be collapsed into a single claim that the line is “open.” Access and service have repeatedly changed with military rules, railway conditions and inter-Korean relations. Signs pointing toward Pyongyang express a political aspiration, not a current timetable. Before visiting, check the same-day notices from Paju and Korail, including identification, designated transport and photography restrictions. The station is best understood through the gap between rails that physically continue north and transport that can remain suspended for years.
