Gwangokji is a small historic pond associated with the scholar Gang Hui-maeng and a tradition about lotus seeds brought from China. The surrounding Lotus Theme Park is a larger modern agricultural and visitor landscape. Current fields and varieties are not all direct survivals from the fifteenth century; planting, water control and farm work actively produce the seasonal view.
