Gaetgol is more than a reed park. A tidal channel reaches inland through traces of the former Sorae salt works, while paths, viewpoints and educational facilities were added later. The registered former salt warehouse points to storage and distribution as well as evaporation work. Tides, seasons and survey effort affect mudflat, plant and bird observations.
