Official information traces Cheonggyesa to a Unified Silla foundation and a major rebuilding in 1284. Its late-Goryeo monument, 1689 history stele and later Joseon buildings belong to different periods, so the present complex is not one untouched founding form. It remains a working temple, not merely a tourist display. Use dated official records and public routes, respect residents and workers, and separate traditions, plans and completed facilities.
