Read the structure first
Locating a ferry cannot end with one modern address because channels, sandbars, levees and landing practices changed. Historical maps and official interpretation can indicate an area, but a picturesque point beside the water should not be declared the exact landing without evidence.
Separate evidence and reconstruction
Ipo was not just a boat but a transfer point between crossing, roads, waiting and handling goods. Weather and water made travel uncertain, and workers needed judgment that a romantic sailboat image erases. The modern bridge and weir did not preserve the ferry; they reorganized the same corridor around regular road travel and water management.
