The old name Guseong-hyeon belongs to a changing sequence of jurisdictions, not an unbroken boundary identical to today’s station district. Official history records Geoseo, Yonggu and the 1414 merger of Yonggu and Cheoin into Yongin. Modern rail, apartments and commerce form a later layer.
