After designation as a provincial park in 1971, Byeonsanbando was elevated to Korea’s 19th national park on June 11, 1988, in recognition of its scenery, terrestrial and marine ecology, and cultural heritage.
Chaeseokgang’s sea cliffs, Naesosa, islands, and the West Sea meet within one park. Trail and facility operations can change with weather and season, so visitors should check current park notices.
