The 33.9-kilometer Saemangeum Seawall links Daehang-ri in Buan with Bieungdo in Gunsan. Construction began in November 1991, completion was marked on April 27, 2010, and Guinness World Records listed it as the world’s longest seawall on August 2 that year.
