The Presbytery Records Daily Life and Administration beside the Church

The former presbytery is a 1912 Registered Cultural Heritage building with a basement and two floors. It housed priests and church administration rather than congregational worship, preserving a layer of life the church alone cannot show.

Religious communities need domestic infrastructure

Meals, heating, documents, repairs, and visitors were handled here. Faith was sustained through repeated practical work as well as ritual.

Old does not mean unchanged

More than a century of use brings repairs and new functions. Do not assume every visible element dates from 1912; distinguish documented fabric from later work.

Read church and presbytery together

One served communal worship, the other residence and administration. Stay out of closed rooms and avoid intrusive photography through windows.
