The large doors, high ceilings, and rough brick walls of Seongsu's factory buildings originally served a practical function.
What used to be functional
Large doors were needed to carry goods, high ceilings to house large equipment, rough walls to build without extra finishing Estimate. All were functional choices tuned to industrial production.
From function to aesthetics
Recently, these functional features have been reinterpreted as an aesthetic backdrop for brand stores and cafés. A form once made out of necessity has now become a style deliberately reproduced. Knowing this shift makes the same brick wall read differently.
