Yangju Government Office Site reconstructs a dispersed administrative center

The office site served Yangju-mok from 1506 until its relocation in 1922. Excavated foundations, walls and drains, written descriptions and modern reconstructed buildings are different kinds of evidence and should not be treated as one untouched complex. The account separates oral tradition, documented history, excavation, reconstruction and current operation. At the site, check dated official notices, respect residents and workers, and record changes instead of generalising one visit to all of Yangju.
